The Ellepot supports the growing media and holds it together whilst the roots are growing, meaning they can be moved or transplanted far sooner than in traditional systems.
Once the trees are grown to the desired size, the Ellepot insert can be removed, packaged and sent to the field or customer without any plastic leaving the nursery.
This Sleeve & Tray Shrub & Tree Propagation System is especially suited for a ø 100mm Ellepot, and is widely used for fruit and nut trees. The 8 cell sleeve and tray design holds 8 100mm diameter Ellepots, either 4.5” deep directly in the tray or 9” deep when combined with the sleeves. The sleeves slot easily into the tray and can be lifted out manually or mechanically for grading and spacing.
